3 Hours has had an amazing world premiere at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival. Director Regan Hall and Producer Toby Stone were treated to a special week in Doha courtesy of the Doha Film Institute.

The NZ Film Commission has launched the independent features schemeEscalator. Regan’s application with writer/producer Brad Haami and producer Tui Ruwhiu has made it into the top 12 of over 250 proposals. A workshop at the start of June will decide on the top 4 films which will go into production at the end of 2010.
We’re proud to announce that 3 Hours has been awarded completion funding by the UK Film Council. This grant will allow us to afford a high-end post-production workflow for the film. Thanks to Aaron Young and Tamsin Ranger at Mayavision for their support.
Regan has spent the week in Argentina for another film collaboration with photographer Mariano Vivanco. The film for Spanish label Pull & Bear’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection will go live in the New Year.
3 Hours wrapped today with a climactic showdown scene. As the sun set over Sahab actors Naseem, Diana, Mohammed, Abdullah, and Hind gave great performances in a wonderful end to the shoot. Regan and his team now start post-production, aiming to have the film ready for festivals at the start of 2010.
Gunslingers has beaten almost 2,000 other films to be a finalist in the Virgin Media Shorts competition. The 12 finalists will play in cinemas and TV screens across the country, and the winning film will receive £30,000 funding towards making another film. Start voting!
